If you like action, then you will probably like Rambo movies. This is the first movie in the series and is action packed!
61. Gallipoli
2 young men want to join the army to fight for their country but are turned down for being too young. They go to a different area where they are able to join and train tirelessly. They become frontline soldiers and are set up as messengers in a vicious battle.
62. Gravity
Two scientists take an adventure into space. One is on her first space mission, while the other is on his last before retirement. However, disaster strikes and destroys the spaceship. Now, they must figure out how to make their way back home.
63. Gray Lady Down
A submarine collides with another at around 1400 feet below the water. It lands on a ledge. Now, the race is on to save the sailors before oxygen runs out and the submarine falls off of the ledge.
64. Hell in the Pacific
This movie tells the tale of two enemies of war. They are trapped on a secluded island and must figure out how to survive though they have a strong hatred for one another.
65. Into the Storm
This is the story of storm-chasers on a wild ride in a single day. Deadly cyclones keep hitting the same place. While many seek shelter, storm chasers are heading right into the storm.
66. Iron Will
This is a Disney movie that shares the true story of a young man and his sleigh dogs that partake in a marathon race over wild terrain all with the hopes of winning to help save his family from financial hardship.
67. Jeremiah Johnson
This is the story of a mountain man that has to survive the wilderness and the natives that don’t really like him being there.
68. Life Boat
This is a classic Alfred Hitchcock film. I’m a great fan of his. If you like his films, then you’ll probably love this one that is based around the cast surviving while on a lifeboat.
69. Lord of the Flies
I’ve read this book multiple times and if you like the book then you’ll probably like the movie, though there are notable differences. But if you are unfamiliar, it is the story of boys who must survive in the wilderness after a plane crash.
70. Mad Max
Mad Max is a fantasy tale of women who are escaping their captor. He is the king of a world that is short on life and water. These women are kept around for breeding purposes only so a tough woman comes along to help them embrace freedom.
71. Man in the Wilderness
A group of North American trappers faces a bear in the process of hunting. One of the men is mauled, but the rest of the men don’t think he’ll make it. However, he does and seeks out the group to find revenge.
72. Miracle Mile
The main character meets the woman of his dreams only to find out that in an hour a nuclear attack is going to happen. He must fight frenzied mobs of people to find his new love before it’s too late.
73. Never Cry Wolf
This is another Disney movie that follows a young biologist who has been dropped in the Arctic to study wolves. The story follows his trials and findings through his adventure.
74. On the Beach
When the war is done but no one won, the people of Australia and the few American soldiers will now have to face life after an apocalypse. When they realize that a large nuclear cloud is heading their direction, they have to decide how to spend their final days before the cloud reaches them and life is over as they know it.
75. Outbreak
This is another movie about a disease that threatens all of mankind, but there is one man who can stop it and must do it before it’s too late.
76. Panic in Year Zero
A family is headed on a weekend fishing trip when they notice a mushroom cloud coming towards LA. They must seek shelter in their fishing location to avoid the panic of the city.
77. Red Dawn
A group of teenagers fights against soldiers from another country when World War III breaks out.
78. Rescue Dawn
A true story of a German-born man that dreamed of being a test pilot. He made his way to America to do so when he was shot down on his first mission. This took place in Vietnam where he was captured by Vietcong guerilla soldiers.
79. San Andreas
I really do like this movie. It has Dwayne Johnson in it, and he is on a mission to save his ex-wife and his daughter when earthquakes rock California.
